The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) will keep on hold 20 per cent of Arman Tsarukyan’s fight purse, which is more than $30k, over an incident with a fan at UFC 3001 until a formal hearing next month.

Tsarukyan fought former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira at the milestone pay-per-view event UFC 300 on April 13. He won the fight and improved his title aspirations.

However, the Russian-Armenian had an altercation with a fan during his walkout inside the T-Mobile Arena1 as well. Broadcast footage showed Tsarukyan jumping towards the barriers and throwing a punch at a fan1. The fan was making abusive gestures at Tsarukyan, who later apologized for his actions and said he would not sue Tsarukyan or the UFC.

But that does not mean Tsarukyan has escaped NSAC disciplinary action1. The NSAC has decided to withhold 20 per cent of Tsarukyan’s $158k purse until a formal disciplinary hearing next month.

Last month, the NSAC also discussed Igor Severino’s controversial UFC debut where he bit opponent André Lima in the arm. A six-month suspension and £3,314.08 fine were recommended for Severino but final decision hasn’t been made yet.
