Francis Ngannou recently became the topic of conversation after UFC President Dana White made comments about a potential cross-promotional fight between him and another fighter.
His troubled past with White, including an exit from the UFC, has not stopped the UFC President from becoming friends with Turki Alalshikh to enable cross promotional fights in their organization.
UFC is poised to host several high-profile boxing and MMA events like the Noche UFC sponsored by Riyadh Season. When asked if he would ever consider reuniting with Ngannou, White gave credit to Alalshikh for his achievements and hinted at exploring other options. The relationship between Dana & Alalshikh could end up leading to some spectacular fights in the future.
The upcoming UFC 306 could be historic as it marks the first time that this promotion will have a title partner. That may open a door for Ngannou to fight against some of UFC’s heavyweight titans such as Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones.
White also explained why Riyadh Season decided to sponsor The sphere Noche UFC. He said they put more than $15 million into producing Noche UFC with tongue-in-cheek comments on why this was important for new sponsors. Besides, he admired Sheikh Turki and boxing activities led by Riyadh Season.
Dana was seen hand in hand with Sheikh not so long ago as the two money monsters have a bright future in the fight game, watch this space.
